Privacy Policy
Huntsville Social Club ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect member information.
What we collect
- Account information (email, authentication credentials)
- Membership application responses you submit
- Profile photos uploaded for membership review
- Event RSVPs and host activity within the club app
- Mobile phone numbers when provided for verification or optional text messaging
How we use information
We use your information to operate membership review, verified member discovery, events, and club communications. Private fields (legal name, date of birth, full address, employer) are used for verification and are not shown in public member views.
Photo storage
Application photos are stored in private storage. Signed URLs are generated at view time and are never stored in our database.
We send emails needed to manage your application, account, and membership, such as confirmation, application status, and account security. Creating an account requires you to acknowledge these messages. That acknowledgement is not a request for news or offers.
You may separately choose: “Email me Huntsville Social Club news, event announcements, and offers.” That choice is optional. If you do not select it, we do not record a marketing opt-in. You can unsubscribe from news, announcements, and offers.
Mobile Numbers and Text Messages
We collect a mobile phone number only when you choose phone verification.
We use that number to send a verification code you request. A verified phone number is optional for membership approval.
Huntsville Social Club no longer offers optional account-notification or marketing text messages. Older SMS consent and opt-out records are kept and are not used as email consent. If you previously agreed to those texts, you can still reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Huntsville Social Club may use service providers strictly to operate its communications, membership, payment, hosting, verification, or customer-support services, but only as needed to provide services on our behalf and not for those providers’ independent marketing purposes.
Mobile numbers and consent records are retained only as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. The Club uses reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Identity Verification
Huntsville Social Club uses Stripe Identity to help verify the identity of applicants and support fraud prevention, community safety, and application review.
Stripe may collect and process information such as your name, date of birth, government-issued identification information, identity-document images, selfie images, device information, and cookies or similar technologies used in connection with Stripe’s services.
Stripe may perform document-authenticity and selfie-to-ID matching checks. Where Stripe collects biometric information, Stripe requests consent before collecting and using it.
Huntsville Social Club receives and uses verification results and limited verification information as needed to review an application, help prevent fraud, protect community safety, and administer our services. We do not display verification documents or sensitive verification details on member profiles, and we do not use verification data for marketing.
Stripe processes verification information as our service provider and may use trusted verification providers in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Stripe may also process information to operate, improve, authenticate, secure, and prevent fraud in its services.
We retain verification-related information only for as long as reasonably necessary for verification, community safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legitimate operational needs. When applicable and appropriate, Huntsville Social Club may request redaction of a Stripe Identity VerificationSession.
